On January 15, 2009, US Airways Flight 1549 miraculously landed in the Hudson River in NYC.

Andrew Gray and Stephanie King
Survivors of USAir Flight 1549
January 15, 2009

Andrew Gray was one of the passengers. In this show he tells it all, what he saw, smelled, and felt as the plane was heading into the water. Incredibly, in what he thought were the final moments of his life, Andrew was filled with an overwhelming comfort and peace because he was 100% positive that he was going to Heaven!

How would you feel if you thought you were about to take your last breath? Well, you too, can have the same peace as Andrew! Tune in for an inspiring story and a chance to experience a peace that surpasses all understanding.

Now, only a little over three weeks after the event, what are Andrew’s thoughts? Does he have a new lease on life or does he have a new sense of fear? How has God spoken to Him since this experience?

Seating Assignment

  • 90 seconds into air – birds hit the plane
  • 2 1/2 minutes into the flight the pilot decided to go into the Hudson. This was only 1 minute after the birds hit the plane
  • The plane was 3000 feet over NYC, which is one of the most densely populated areas on earth and the plane engines are silent
  • Captain Sullenberger said this in an interview. In order to successfully land the plane in the water, he had to:
    1. Touch down with the wings exactly level
    2. Touch down with the nose slightly up
    3. Touch down at a descent rate that was survivable
    4. Touch down just above the minimum flying speed, but not below it
    5. He had to make all of these things happen simultaneously

God Hears us...

Psalm 18:6 "From His temple He heard my voice; my cry came before Him, into His ears."

Psalm 18:16 "He reached down from Heaven and rescued me; He drew me out of deep waters."

Andrew inspired us in the show.

Take up the same charge to believe in God's word and know that He cares about every area of your life. If you still have breath in your body, God still has things for you to do, and He still has other people waiting for you to inspire.
